First, stimulate all partners to find databases in all EU countries and encourage the use of networks of other partners, an inventory of available databases will be made. Next, a conference will be prepared and organised with associated and other interested partners to discuss the minimum set of information (in terms of inclusion criteria) needed to ensure comparability and validity of the ethnic specific health related data and identification of ethnic minority populations. Guidelines for databases and identification of ethnic minorities for European health related databases will be formulated. In the second year the main task is the monitoring of the specific work packages to ensure the planning of the total project. In the 17th month of the project a conference is organised to discuss problems, methodological issues and preliminary results, followed by the organisation of a specific meeting during the annual meeting of the EUPHA. Next to this meeting a smaller workshop will be organised to discuss the development of indicators. The outcomes will be transferred to all associated partners. Two months later the final indicators will be chosen at a workshop and a report will be written. The next EUPHA meeting is used for the presentation of the sample analyses, followed by editing the final report of the project.
